On Tuesday, May 23, the A.C.N.M. Foundation, Inc. will honor its founders and celebrate the global impact of a half-century of philanthropic efforts. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and nearly every midwife–especially those who have supported or benefited from the foundation–will be joining the festivities. All are invited and encouraged to attend this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Here’s the lineup:
“The ‘Foundation’: 50 Years of Global Impact.” a plenary session with a keynote presentation featuring Charles ‘Chic’ Dambach, MBA. Dambach is a remarkable humanitarian and speaker whose peacemaking legacy has earned him a 2017 Nobel Peace Prize nomination. 11 a.m.
Foundation Founders Hall of Fame. Come celebrate the visionary pioneers and founders of the foundation and significant contributors to its success. Special guests will include Kitty Ernst, CNM, MPH, FACNM, a renowned and inspirational leader; Ruth Lubic, CNM, Ed.D, FACNM, a MacArthur “Genius” Fellow, and her husband, Attorney Bill Lubic, who together with his law partner Marty Ginsburg, late husband of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, incorporated the foundation. Marty Ginsburg’s son James Ginsburg’s will join us in honoring his father. 4 p.m.
50th Birthday Bash. The foundation will top off its anniversary celebration day with a fun-filled dance party and a fundraiser. Live music by Chicago favorite, the Michael Walters Trio. There’ll be games, cake, a cash bar, and plenty of surprises. So come help us dance the night away. 8 p.m.
