The Hilton Chicago Celebrates 90 Years!

When the Hilton Chicago first opened its doors in 1927, it was the world’s largest hotel, featuring 3,000 guest rooms with private bath, a barber shop, children’s fantasyland, pharmacy, bowling alley and a 1,200 seat theater. Since its first registered guest, Vice President Charles Dawes, the Hilton Chicago has hosted celebrities, heads of state, Queen Elizabeth II, and soon, the American College of Nurse-Midwives.

    If I make a reservation (probably required to give you my credit card number………and then find that I must cancel – possibly the last minute – – – will it cost me money??

      Yes, a fee of 50% of the registration ticket will be assessed. Workshops, events, ed sessions are non-refundable.

    If I make a Hilton hotel reservation by April 27 and then must cancel the trip because of health problems, what happens to my money/deposit/credit card number that you have ?

      Reservations cancelled after April 27 will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee for each room cancelled and charged by Orchid Event Solutions. Deposit of one night’s room and tax will be forfeited entirely if cancellation occurs within 72 hours of arrival date. Through May 11, 2017, send requests for changes and cancellations in writing to Orchid Event Solutions via e-mail ( or fax to 801-355-0250. After May 11th contact hotel directly to make changes and cancellations.
